Intermediate Application Developer – Java

About the role

UPS is seeking an Intermediate Application Developer – Java to join its Technology Development Centre in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input and support across all phases of full systems life cycle management.
• Design, code, test, and deploy moderately complex enterprise application software utilizing Java/J2EE and cloud architecture.
• Generate technical application documentation, flowcharts, and user guides.
• Contribute actively to systems analysis, application design, and integration builds.
• Maintain, support, and optimize existing application systems while meeting established project timelines.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical disciplines.
• Sound understanding of object-oriented programming with hands-on knowledge in Java / J2EE and modern Cloud Technologies.

Skills

• Systems Life Cycle Management: Knowledge of full software development life cycle (SDLC) activities including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional IT teams to drive technical objectives efficiently.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot application defects and optimize system performance.
