Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack

About the role

Under Armour is looking for a seasoned Lead Software Engineer to own the design and delivery of high‑performance, personalized web experiences for its global e‑commerce platform. Based in Bangalore, you will work in a hybrid setting, leading a squad that blends modern front‑end frameworks with robust back‑end services to drive customer loyalty and conversion.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and ship scalable personalization and loyalty solutions using React, Next.js, and related front‑end technologies.
• Implement server‑side and client‑side rendering patterns to ensure fast, SEO‑friendly pages.
• Design and integrate GraphQL and REST APIs, Node.js micro‑services, and third‑party platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Set coding standards, enforce best practices, and guide the team on performance optimization and analytics implementation.
• Collaborate with product, UX, marketing, and data teams to translate business goals into intuitive digital journeys.
• Lead technical discovery, evaluate trade‑offs, and produce clear architectural documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers, oversee production support, and participate in on‑call rotations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree with ~8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work history.
• Proven track record of full‑stack development, especially front‑end leadership for consumer‑facing applications.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.
