About the role

SonicWall is looking for a Test Engineer specialized in network security to design, automate, and execute functional and system tests for its security products. The position is based in Pune, India and follows a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

Gain deep knowledge of SonicWall’s network security solutions and existing test infrastructure.
Develop detailed test plans, create test cases, and manage defects throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle.
Build and maintain automated test frameworks using scripting languages and Selenium‑based tools.
Run both automated and manual test suites, analyse outcomes and ensure timely defect resolution.
Identify and implement improvements to increase test coverage, efficiency and productivity.
Evaluate new testing tools and best practices, and collaborate with globally distributed engineering teams.

Eligibility

3‑4 years of experience in software testing and test automation within networking or cybersecurity.
Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Tcl, Perl, Ruby, Selenium, etc.).
Solid understanding of L2‑L7 protocols, VPN, IAM, NAC, EDR/MDR and related security technologies.
Familiarity with SDLC, STLC and object‑oriented programming concepts.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication abilities.
