About the role

Smart Working Solutions is looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer who will own and scale the cloud infrastructure that powers an AI‑native cybersecurity platform handling terabytes of data each day. The position is fully remote, reports to the VP of Engineering and AI, and sits within a flat, 14‑person engineering team that spans backend, DevOps, endpoint, frontend and design.

Responsibilities

Design, operate and expand production cloud environments on AWS, Azure or GCP.
Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform and manage Docker‑based container workloads.
Build, own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for Python, C++ and TypeScript services.
Implement observability, incident‑response and security controls to keep the platform reliable and compliant.
Leverage AI agents and large language models to automate routine operational tasks.
Drive end‑to‑end infrastructure projects, balancing multiple high‑impact initiatives while communicating clearly with teammates and customers.

Eligibility

Proven hands‑on experience managing production cloud infrastructure on at least one major cloud provider.
Strong background with Terraform (or equivalent IaC) and Docker containers.
Demonstrated ownership of CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Experience with observability, incident management and security best practices.
Comfortable using AI agents and LLMs to learn new technologies and solve problems.
Ability to work independently during UK business hours and interact directly with customers when needed.
