About the role

Rubrik is looking for a senior AI engineer to lead the design, development, and production of agentic systems that automate complex enterprise workflows. Based in Bangalore, the role involves end‑to‑end ownership of AI agents, from workflow analysis to deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to map real‑world workflows and define problem statements.
  • Design, build, test and ship production‑grade AI agents, automations and internal tools using LLM APIs and agent frameworks.
  • Engineer robust multi‑agent orchestrations with reliable context handling, caching, retries and guardrails.
  • Apply full‑stack engineering across backend services, APIs, data models, approval UIs and chat interfaces.
  • Implement continuous evaluation, safety mechanisms and human‑in‑the‑loop controls for agent performance.
  • Document, version and monitor agent artifacts, driving reuse through libraries and patterns.

Eligibility

  • Approximately 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on experience building AI agents that are used in production.
  • Strong full‑stack background with experience delivering backend APIs, data models and user‑facing interfaces.

Skills

  • System design, API architecture and data modeling.
  • Algorithms, data structures and security considerations.
  • Spec‑driven development, version control, CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Building agents with LLM APIs, SDKs and agent frameworks.
  • Robust evaluation, guardrails and monitoring for AI‑driven workflows.
