IT Security & Compliance Engineer

About the role

Rapyuta Robotics is looking for a fresh graduate to join its security team in Chennai. You will help protect the company’s robotics platforms by monitoring incidents, hunting threats, and ensuring compliance with global security standards. The role offers hands‑on experience with cloud and endpoint security tools in a fast‑growing startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Conduct threat‑hunting activities, root‑cause analysis and malware investigations.
• Manage SIEM platforms, create dashboards and generate actionable reports.
• Perform vulnerability scans, assess findings and coordinate remediation.
• Support compliance audits and maintain security documentation for frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Assist development teams with secure SDLC practices and DevSecOps integrations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.
• Fundamental understanding of security operations, incident response and threat hunting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security services (Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender suite, Purview, DLP, Exchange Online).
• Basic knowledge of endpoint protection tools like CrowdStrike, BitLocker and file‑vaulting solutions.
• Awareness of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST, and IAM concepts (RBAC, PAM, JML).
• Strong communication skills to articulate security findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Skills

• Incident response and malware analysis.
• SIEM monitoring (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, etc.).
• Microsoft 365 security suite and cloud security fundamentals.
• Endpoint protection and vulnerability management tools.
• Compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and risk assessment.
• Network security utilities (Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
