Software Engineer

About the role

Qualys is looking for a Software Engineer to design and implement high‑performance C/C++ modules on Linux/Unix platforms. The role involves building scalable security‑focused applications, handling multithreading, IPC, and ensuring code quality through rigorous testing and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C/C++ components for enterprise‑grade security products on Linux/Unix.
• Design moderately complex to complex modules independently while adhering to coding standards.
• Apply data‑structure and algorithm expertise to solve performance and memory‑management challenges.
• Debug issues using GDB and implement robust multithreading, synchronization, and parallel processing.
• Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines, source‑control, and unit‑testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to clarify requirements and achieve consensus.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields (B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech, MCA).
• 2 + years of professional experience in C/C++ development on Linux/Unix.
• Strong understanding of DSA, memory management, and IPC mechanisms.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
