About the role

Oscilar is looking for a senior JavaScript engineer to lead the design, development, and optimisation of its browser‑based Web SDK. The SDK powers device fingerprinting, identity verification and behavioural analytics for banks and fintechs, and the role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while shaping the future of AI‑driven risk decisioning.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain a high‑performance Web SDK that collects and analyses browser and device data.
  • Design algorithms for unique device fingerprints and capture interaction signals such as gestures, keyboard and mouse activity.
  • Build and sustain a CI/CD pipeline with automated cross‑browser testing and regular releases.
  • Continuously improve SDK performance and resource usage to ensure a seamless end‑user experience.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews and enforce best‑practice coding standards.
  • Collaborate with product, design and QA teams to meet security, privacy and quality requirements.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 3 years focused on building SDKs or libraries.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, high‑scale JavaScript projects.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
  • Experience contributing to open‑source projects or showcasing relevant work on GitHub is a plus.

Skills

  • Advanced JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Deep knowledge of browser APIs, DOM manipulation and cross‑browser compatibility.
  • Experience with Web SDK architecture, data collection, and analytics pipelines.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, Git version control and modern build tools (Webpack, Babel, Rollup).
  • Understanding of security principles, encryption, hashing and data‑privacy best practices.
  • Ability to design CI/CD workflows and automated testing suites.
