About the role

New Relic is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to join its Infra+ Platform & Synthetics team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building and scaling backend micro‑services and data pipelines while also contributing to web interfaces when needed. You will work with a modern stack that includes Java, Node.js, Go, Kubernetes, Kafka and React, delivering real‑time observability for customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and scale resilient micro‑services using Java, Node.js or Go.
Create high‑performance APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and efficient data models.
Implement asynchronous messaging, caching and stream‑processing patterns with Kafka.
Own the full service lifecycle: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment to Kubernetes.
Build automation, IaC and telemetry instrumentation for observability and reliability.
Collaborate in an agile, cross‑functional team with an operational ownership mindset.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
