Front-End Developer - Netflix Animation Studios

About the role

Netflix Animation Studios is seeking a senior front‑end developer to craft modern, cloud‑based creative tools for animators and production managers. Based in Vancouver, the role blends UI/UX design expertise with a strong React, TypeScript and GraphQL skill set, while working in a hybrid setting (minimum three days in the office).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications and user interfaces.
• Implement integrations with Flow Production Tracking (ShotGrid) including embedded web views and action menu items.
• Update and enhance existing web applications to meet evolving production needs.
• Collaborate closely with Production teams to translate workflow requirements into technical solutions.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of front‑end engineering experience.
• Background in animation, VFX, or games industries.
• Hands‑on experience with Flow Production Tracking tools.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and ability to read code in multiple languages.
• Strong knowledge of React, Vite, npm and Node.js.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a solid computer‑science foundation.
