Jr. Software Platform Engineer

About the role

MetLife is looking for a Junior Software Platform Engineer to join its Pune hub. The role centers on developing, customizing, and supporting Salesforce‑based solutions, handling both declarative and programmatic features while collaborating with senior architects and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and SOQL.
• Configure and administer Salesforce, including user setup, profiles, permission sets, and security controls.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
• Generate reports, dashboards, and automate processes with Flow and validation rules.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, follow coding standards, and document technical solutions.
• Support data quality activities, migrations, and routine platform troubleshooting.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in software development, CRM platforms, or enterprise application support.
• Hands‑on experience with Salesforce development and customization.
• Strong knowledge of Apex, LWC, SOQL and Salesforce declarative tools.
• Understanding of Salesforce security model and best practices.
• Valid Salesforce certification (Administrator, Platform Developer, or equivalent).
