About the role

Mavenir is looking for a Platform Development Engineer to own the integration layer that connects Linux user space, programmable logic, and radio control software on a UHD‑based platform. The role is based in Bangalore and involves building Yocto layers, handling device‑tree flows, and writing C++ code for register access and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain Yocto layers and recipes for UHD images and integration components.
  • Integrate FPGA exports (XSA) into Linux device‑tree files, mapping addresses, interrupts and clocks.
  • Implement and validate RTL device exposure via UIO, kernel interfaces and driver hooks.
  • Develop C++ integration code for register access, device discovery and diagnostic tooling.
  • Debug end‑to‑end data and control paths across FPGA, boot flow, Linux and user‑space applications.
  • Produce integration documentation, bring‑up checklists and reproducible test workflows for CI and lab environments.

Eligibility

  • At least 1.5 years of experience in embedded Linux and SoC/FPGA system integration.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Yocto/Open Embedded, custom layers and reproducible builds.
  • Proficiency in device‑tree creation and XSA‑to‑DTSI workflows.
  • Solid C/C++ systems programming skills on Linux targets.
  • Practical board bring‑up and lab debugging experience.
