About the role
Light & Wonder is looking for a Back‑End Software Engineer to join its Pune team on a hybrid basis. You will design, develop and maintain Java‑based services for the next‑generation casino platform, collaborate with cross‑functional partners, and ensure high‑quality, performant code.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend functionality following established coding standards.
- Write unit and integration tests for your components.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain clear documentation for the services you own.
- Work with product and other engineering teams to capture requirements and finalize designs.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the system.

Eligibility
- 3‑5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
