Associate Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Kaleris is looking for a motivated Associate Software Engineer Intern to join its Chennai engineering team. The intern will work on building and enhancing supply‑chain software, translate functional requirements into code, create and run test suites, and collaborate with peers in India and the USA.

Responsibilities

• Analyse functional specifications and develop corresponding software components.
• Provide technical support for new and existing product features.
• Design and maintain user interfaces, algorithms and data‑structures.
• Write unit and functional test cases and maintain test suites.
• Debug code, troubleshoot issues and communicate progress to supervisors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across geographies to deliver solutions.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with software testing and unit testing practices.
• Exposure to version‑control systems (e.g., SVN, Git) is a plus.
