Procurement Operations Specialist

About the role

IBM's Finance & Operations team is looking for a Procurement Operations Specialist in Bangalore. You will support end‑to‑end purchase order processing, manage supplier and client relationships, and ensure compliance with IBM procurement policies while gaining exposure to global operations.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders by receiving client requests, negotiating with suppliers, and completing purchases in line with IBM policies.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with IBM clients and suppliers.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in the purchasing workflow to minimise impact on stakeholders.
• Utilise procurement tools such as SAP/SAP Ariba and ServiceNow to document and track PO and supplier information.
• Clear aged purchase orders and resolve blocked invoices for suppliers.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sourcing or a related discipline.
• 0‑3 years of experience in procurement operations, sourcing support, finance operations or shared services.
• Experience working in SLA‑driven environments and supporting global stakeholders.

Skills

• SAP or SAP Ariba proficiency.
• ServiceNow or similar case‑management platform experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with supplier onboarding and master‑data tools.
• Experience with invoice processing and exception‑workflow systems.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
