About the role
Hitachi Energy is looking for an AI Prompt & Agent Specialist to create generative‑AI copilots and knowledge agents that help power‑electronics engineers work faster and more consistently. Based in Bangalore, you will collaborate with R&D, operations, manufacturing and digital teams to turn AI concepts into trusted, production‑ready tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain AI prompts, agents and workflow automations that boost engineering productivity.
- Translate engineering use‑cases into clear technical requirements, data flows and deployment plans.
- Build retrieval‑based knowledge solutions anchored to approved documents, standards and data sources.
- Create evaluation datasets and measure accuracy, latency, adoption and business impact before release.
- Implement guardrails, human‑review steps, monitoring and audit trails to ensure safe, traceable outputs.
- Integrate AI tools with enterprise platforms, repositories and engineering applications in partnership with IT and cybersecurity teams.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience building and deploying AI‑enabled applications or automation tools in an enterprise or engineering setting.
- Strong command of English with excellent analytical, documentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
Skills
- Hands‑on experience with large language models, prompt engineering and retrieval‑augmented generation.
- Proficiency in Python and integrating APIs, databases and document repositories.
- Knowledge of secure software development, access control, data governance and responsible AI principles.
- Ability to extract and organise technical knowledge from specifications, test reports and standards.
- Familiarity with power‑electronics concepts or a proven ability to acquire domain knowledge quickly.
