About the role
Google’s Consumer Hardware Silicon division is looking for a fresh university graduate to join the Platforms and Devices team in Bangalore. You will help design, verify, and bring to production ASIC and SoC chips that power Google‑branded devices, working alongside hardware, software, and manufacturing partners.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SoC teams to create power‑efficient, high‑performance silicon.
- Contribute to ASIC/SoC design, verification, and implementation.
- Develop concepts for CPUs, image processing, machine‑learning, computer‑vision, security and video pipelines.
- Assist in automating design flows and prototype new hardware ideas.
- Work with vendors and external partners to move designs through to manufacturing.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated interest in hardware through internships, projects or work experience.
Skills
- Understanding of SoC/ASIC design concepts.
- Familiarity with design verification, physical design or design‑for‑testability.
- Experience writing Verilog, HDL or SystemVerilog code.
- Knowledge of computer‑hardware architecture.
