Associate Software Engineer

About the role

Global Payments Inc. is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to support both on-premises and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based applications, debug production code, and automate manual processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, debug, and maintain high-concurrency payment processing applications running on-premises and on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Write and execute complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to troubleshoot data anomalies, fix code defects, and perform production application support.
• Develop and maintain Python and Unix Shell scripts to automate routine operations, eliminating repetitive manual tasks.
• Monitor enterprise batch jobs, workflow schedules, and data processing automation using scheduling platforms.

Eligibility

• Minimum 16 years of formal education with a degree in B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or allied engineering disciplines.
• 0 to 1 year of professional experience in IT production support, application engineering, or software maintenance.

Skills

• Good proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong knowledge of SQL / PLSQL with the ability to write, analyze, and debug complex queries.
• Basic command line and scripting experience in Unix / Linux operating environments.
