About the role

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Database Programmer to lead configuration, maintenance and validation of clinical trial databases and associated applications. Based in Kochi, the role works remotely within a collaborative CRO environment, supporting data management teams and sponsors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate database setup, testing and validation activities following SOPs.
  • Mentor and train junior programmers and data‑management staff on SAS programming and database configuration.
  • Develop, test and run SAS programs for data validation, reconciliation, listings and transfers.
  • Configure internal and third‑party eDC systems, manage uploads and resolve error reports.
  • Liaise with vendors, sponsors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth data exchange.
  • Support quality‑assurance audits and maintain documentation in line with regulatory standards.

Eligibility

  • Degree‑level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum five years of experience with clinical data‑management systems.
  • Strong understanding of CDISC SDTM standards.
  • Proficiency in SAS programming.

Skills

  • Advanced SAS programming for clinical data handling.
  • Knowledge of CDISC SDTM data models.
  • Experience with database/eDC configuration and maintenance.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and support audit activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
