Automation Engineer

About the role

As an Automation Engineer at Ericsson, you will design, develop, and test automation solutions that support the delivery of managed services for telecom customers. You will translate high‑level design specifications into functional automations, ensure they operate reliably, and continuously improve processes to drive productivity and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build, program, and validate automation workflows using Python and related tools.
• Stay current with emerging automation technologies and recommend enhancements that reduce operational effort.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix defects in production automation code.
• Contribute to both high‑level and detailed design documents (HLD/LLD) and maintain clear documentation.
• Gather requirements, secure sign‑offs, and ensure use‑cases accurately reflect business needs.
• Participate in all project phases, assist in planning, and provide technical leadership for automation implementation.

Eligibility

• Academic credentials must be from a recognized and accredited institution and are subject to verification.
• Open to fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

Skills

• Strong Python programming and scripting abilities.
• Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and automation frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile and Lean development practices.
• Familiarity with databases, CLI/GUI tools, and algorithmic problem solving.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and telecom domain concepts.
• Exposure to Application Lifecycle Management and software project management.
