Staff Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Databricks is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to lead the design and implementation of sophisticated data pipeline visualizations, cluster orchestration tools, and collaborative SQL workspaces. The role focuses on building scalable, high‑performance front‑end experiences that simplify complex data workflows for customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop intuitive workflows for creating, configuring, and managing large‑scale compute clusters and data sources.
• Design, deploy, test, and upgrade complex data pipelines with rich visual graph capabilities.
• Enable seamless onboarding and management of organization members to foster data‑driven decision making.
• Deliver a polished, SQL‑centric data exploration and dashboarding experience.
• Build collaborative, interactive environments that support massive‑scale data projects and smooth production hand‑offs.
• Lead multi‑quarter initiatives, ensuring measurable customer and business impact.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven track record of leading large, multi‑quarter projects.
• Strong passion for user experience, front‑end architecture, and design.
• Ability to work toward a multi‑year product vision while delivering incremental value.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with server‑side web technologies is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of current front‑end best practices, including performance, accessibility, security, and usability.
• Experience building large‑scale, customer‑facing products.
