Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Spotify is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to help build and scale Groove, its internal collaborative planning platform. You will work on both frontend and backend, using React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL and related cloud technologies, while collaborating with product, design and operations teams across London and Stockholm.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full‑stack features for Groove, including initiative tracking and planning workflows.
• Write clean, scalable code using React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL and GKE.
• Partner with product managers and designers to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces.
• Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and production support, including on‑call rotations.
• Drive performance, scalability and maintainability improvements across the stack.
• Lead complex feature delivery, influence architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of experience building production‑grade full‑stack applications.
• Proficiency with both frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL) technologies.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs and cloud infrastructure (GKE).
• Strong communication skills for remote, cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to mentor others and contribute to technical direction.
