About the role

Citi is looking for a Python Software Engineer to join its Applications Development team in Chennai. You will design, build and maintain Python‑based microservices, work with NoSQL databases, containerise applications and support AI‑enabled features in a fast‑moving agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test Python microservices and REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask.
  • Design data persistence layers with MongoDB and Couchbase, ensuring optimal indexing and query performance.
  • Containerise services with Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters.
  • Integrate CI/CD pipelines (Helm, Harness) and manage version control with Git.
  • Collaborate on front‑end features using Angular and embed generative‑AI capabilities into backend workflows.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, troubleshoot production issues and adhere to security and compliance standards.
