About the role

Caterpillar is looking for an IT Analyst Applications – File Transfer Administrator to join its India CoE‑Integration & Engineering team in Bangalore. The role focuses on operating and supporting enterprise file‑transfer platforms, primarily IBM MQ and Managed File Transfer, ensuring secure and reliable data movement for global customers.

Responsibilities

Administer and support IBM MQ / Managed File Transfer platforms, including configuration of new transfers and onboarding customers.
Resolve support tickets, troubleshoot transfer failures, connectivity and performance issues while meeting SLA commitments.
Proactively engage customers to validate connectivity and improve service reliability.
Collaborate with US and India support teams to manage incidents and coordinate resolutions.
Work with vendors for issue resolution, system upgrades, patching and routine maintenance.
Document configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures; support additional transfer tools such as GoAnywhere.

Eligibility

Must be able to work onsite in Bangalore five days a week.
No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
Open to candidates with relevant technical experience; no specific degree is mandated.

Skills

Hands‑on experience with IBM MQ Managed File Transfer.
Familiarity with secure transfer protocols like SFTP and FTPS.
Strong troubleshooting and customer‑support capabilities.
Experience working in a global support model with cross‑region collaboration.
Exposure to IBM integration tools such as App Connect Enterprise or DataPower is a plus.
