About the role

CME Group is hiring an entry‑level Site Reliability Engineer in Bangalore. You will join a mentored team that builds, operates, and scales the low‑latency, high‑reliability systems behind CME’s Customer and Clearing platforms, gaining hands‑on experience with observability, automation, and cloud migration.

Responsibilities

Assist senior engineers in creating monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions for key services.
Shadow product‑team collaborations to understand reliability and scalability requirements.
Write and maintain simple scripts and tools that reduce manual toil.
Participate in blameless post‑mortems to drive continuous improvement.
Help with disaster‑recovery testing and system resiliency exercises.
Support migration of applications to Google Cloud Platform and later join the on‑call rotation.

Eligibility

Recent graduate or final‑year student eager to start a career in SRE.
Strong passion for technology and problem‑solving.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment.

Skills

Foundational programming/scripting: Python, Java, C++, Bash.
Basic Linux system knowledge.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) – nice to have.
Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) – nice to have.
Exposure to monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk – nice to have.
