Software Development Engineer, Amazon Flex

About the role

As a Software Development Engineer in Amazon Flex's Last Mile Technology team, you will design, build, and maintain scalable software that powers the end‑to‑end delivery experience, enabling independent contractors to deliver packages quickly across India.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑performance, reliable software solutions for the Flex delivery platform.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from scoping and design through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Tackle complex, previously unsolved logistics challenges by applying strong technical design skills.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, and engineering managers to create innovative last‑mile technology.
• Communicate clearly in both written and verbal form while delivering results in a fast‑paced environment.

Eligibility

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
