About the role

Allata is seeking a Software Test Engineer who will lead automation efforts for web, SaaS, API and mobile applications. Working on‑site in Vadodara (and Pune) you will design robust test frameworks, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines and leverage AI‑assisted tools to accelerate test creation and defect analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements, user stories and API contracts into detailed test scenarios and automation plans.
  • Develop and maintain reusable UI automation scripts using Selenium, Playwright or Cypress, following POM/BDD patterns.
  • Automate API validation with Postman and REST‑based frameworks, handling authentication and contract checks.
  • Write SQL queries to verify data integrity and business logic across databases.
  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines, monitor runs, and troubleshoot flaky tests.
  • Track defects in JIRA, provide clear reproduction steps, and collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
  • Apply AI tools to generate tests, analyse failure trends and extract knowledge from documentation.
  • Maintain test documentation, dashboards and quality metrics, and contribute to continuous improvement of the automation framework.

Eligibility
