About the role

YipitData is looking for a Data QA Associate to work remotely from India on its SpendHound SaaS platform. The role focuses on cleaning and validating financial and accounting data so that business expense insights are accurate and reliable.

Responsibilities

Review and validate ERP‑derived vendor, invoice, bill, payment and transaction records.
Apply accounting knowledge to map transactions to correct expense categories.
Identify and correct duplicate, incomplete or inconsistent records.
Investigate data quality issues and collaborate with engineering and data teams to improve processing rules.
Maintain compliance with data security and confidentiality policies.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
0–2 years of hands‑on accounting, bookkeeping or finance‑data QA experience, including internships.
Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability and effective written and verbal English communication.

Skills

Understanding of accounting processes such as transaction categorization, invoice processing and account reconciliation.
Practical experience with at least one ERP or expense‑management system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Ramp).
Basic data‑analysis capability; familiarity with Excel, SQL or Python is a plus.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with remote teams across time zones.
