About the role

Xylem is seeking an Application Engineer to support pump‑station design, tender reviews and equipment selection. The position is hybrid, based in Vadodara, and offers hands‑on exposure to hydraulic calculations, proposal preparation and cross‑functional collaboration with sales, service and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare simple schematics, layouts and hydraulic calculations using standard tools under guidance.
Review tender specifications, compile checklists, flag gaps and maintain clear documentation.
Select equipment and draft initial technical submissions such as datasheets and compliance statements.
Assist in costing and proposal creation, following internal approval workflows.
Log and update enquiry activities in CRM/Salesforce, escalating complex items as needed.
Build relationships with commercial stakeholders across Xylem’s business units.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.
0‑4 years of experience with rotating equipment or pumps (internships, academic projects acceptable).
Willingness to learn, strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
