About the role

Winsen Labs is offering a paid, part‑time engineering internship in Chennai for current college students. The role runs alongside the academic term, allowing interns to contribute to real AI‑focused products and internal systems while maintaining their studies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve components of Winsen Labs' AI products and internal tools.
• Interpret loosely defined problems, ask clarifying questions, and deliver working software solutions.
• Test implementations with real inputs, explore edge cases, and ensure robustness.
• Write clean code and document the technical decisions behind each implementation.
• Present completed features and share learning outcomes with the team.

Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in an engineering or related degree program (e.g., B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech, B.Sc, M.Sc).
• Students from College of Engineering, Guindy, Madras Institute of Technology, IIT Madras, or any other Chennai‑based college.
• Ability to commit to a realistic part‑time schedule that fits around college lectures.
• No specific CGPA or branch requirement.

Skills

• Strong programming fundamentals and problem‑solving ability.
• Understanding of system design and how software components interact.
• Experience using AI coding agents responsibly, including reviewing and debugging generated code.
• Testing and debugging skills to handle real‑world inputs and edge cases.
• Clear communication for documenting decisions and presenting work.
• Curiosity and a habit of building personal projects beyond coursework.
