About the role

TVS Next is seeking a Senior Test Engineer (SDET) for its Enterprise Software R&D team. The position focuses on designing test strategies, automating test scenarios, and ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise applications, especially within the Energy Trade and Risk Management (ETRM) domain.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and cases derived from product requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and run automated test scripts to verify functionality, reliability, and performance.
  • Conduct manual and automated functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Log, track, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle using Jira and Zephyr Scale.
  • Perform database validation using SQL/PostgreSQL and generate test reports and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with developers, R&D engineers, and product teams to resolve issues and support releases.

Eligibility

  • 5–8 years of experience in software testing, QA, or test automation.
  • Hands‑on experience with the ETRM domain.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Skills

  • Manual testing and test‑automation expertise.
  • Proficiency with SQL and PostgreSQL for database validation.
  • Strong knowledge of defect management, test planning, and test case design.
  • Experience using Jira and Zephyr Scale for test management.
  • Analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving abilities.
