About the role
TVS Next is seeking a Software QA Engineer specialized in Product Information Management (PIM) to join its Enterprise Application team in Chennai. The role focuses on end‑to‑end testing of data‑intensive workflows, API validation, and catalog syndication for high‑growth enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, integration, exploratory, sanity, security and end‑to‑end scenarios across the PIM ecosystem.
- Validate product data quality, SKU hierarchies, attribute inheritance, localization, DAM/media links and downstream syndication to platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento and Shopify.
- Lead both manual and automated testing activities, including API validation, data synchronization checks and defect management.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, PIM architects and project managers to support UAT, resolve blockers and continuously improve QA processes.
- Apply Agile/Scrum practices and contribute to test case development, automation strategy and stakeholder communication.
Eligibility
- 5 + years of software QA experience with emphasis on data validation, APIs, backend systems or ETL‑heavy applications.
- Strong understanding of PIM and product catalog workflows, including attribute inheritance, SKU variants, localization and media asset linkage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Skills
- API testing (REST, JSON/XML)
- Backend testing and data validation
- SQL for database verification and data integrity checks
- Experience with automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium (advantageous)
- Test planning, test case creation and Agile/Scrum methodology
