Associate Data Engineer

About the role

TransUnion, a global information and insights firm, is seeking an Associate Data Engineer in Pune. The role involves supporting data ingestion, integration, and design on big‑data platforms, developing solutions with Python, C++, and Linux tools, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to enhance data quality for the Specialized Risk Group.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data ingestion, analysis, integration, and design tasks, leveraging 0‑1 years of relevant experience.
• Work on big‑data technologies such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, HPCC, Cloud Bigtable, and other NoSQL stores.
• Develop and maintain code using Python, C/C++, PySpark, PyDoop, or PyScala.
• Utilize Linux environments, Bash scripting, and PERL for automation and data processing.
• Collaborate with core technology teams, understand customer needs, and adopt new techniques as required.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
