About the role

KogniVera is seeking a motivated Junior Java Developer to join its Bangalore development team. The candidate will work on building scalable Java applications, design RESTful APIs, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver digital solutions for clients in retail, finance, insurance, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain Java‑based applications and backend services.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Write clean, reusable code and participate in code reviews.
• Create and optimise SQL queries for MySQL/PostgreSQL databases.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues.
• Continuously learn new technologies and best practices.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Open to freshers with strong Java projects or internship experience.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Skills

• Core Java and OOP concepts.
• Java 8 features, collections, exception handling, multithreading.
• Spring Boot and REST API development.
• SQL and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Git version control.
• Data structures and algorithms.
