About the role

ThoughtSpot is looking for a Member of Technical Staff to join its backend engineering team in Thiruvananthapuram. The role focuses on building high‑performance, scalable services that power AI‑driven analytics for enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend systems that handle large data volumes with high reliability.
Write production‑grade code in Java, Go, Python or C++ following best engineering practices.
Contribute to the full lifecycle of platform components – from design and implementation to testing and deployment.
Improve scalability, performance and fault tolerance of distributed services.
Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions and technical discussions.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams in an agile environment.

Eligibility

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, OOP and software engineering principles.
Good grasp of operating systems, networking, databases and distributed systems.
Hands‑on experience (internship, academic projects or work) with backend, cloud or AI/ML systems is a plus.

Skills

Proficiency in at least one language: Java, C++, Go or Python.
Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
Familiarity with distributed systems concepts.
