About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Product Owner to lead the backend architecture and services for the Cortex data‑workflow platform within its Semiconductor R&D division in Hyderabad. The role involves hands‑on technical leadership, design of microservices, and collaboration with frontend, DevOps and partner teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and steer the technical direction of Cortex backend services and APIs.
  • Design and implement RESTful microservices using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Core.
  • Manage data integration across SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and other stores.
  • Establish API contracts, versioning and messaging patterns, including event‑driven communication.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to containerize, deploy and operate services on Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews and drive quality through automated testing and CI/CD.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Skills

  • Expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core.
  • Design of microservices, REST APIs and distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of messaging/event‑driven architectures.
  • Ability to lead technical decisions and influence cross‑functional teams.
