About the role
Barclays is looking for a Technical Product Owner to lead the design and delivery of banking products in Pune. You will bridge product strategy with technical execution, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with the bank’s roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to align product owners with technical delivery teams.
- Define and maintain product roadmaps, create MVPs and drive fraud‑loss reduction initiatives.
- Gather, prioritize and translate business requirements into user stories and process flows.
- Oversee continuous testing, performance monitoring and optimisation of the product.
- Lead risk‑and‑control assessments, influence policy and mentor team members.
- Communicate complex technical and business information to stakeholders and drive consensus.
Eligibility
- Proven experience in product ownership for banking or fintech solutions.
- Strong understanding of fraud detection and risk‑management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Skills
- Hands‑on knowledge of Apply journey and fraud detection processes.
- Agile backlog management, sprint planning and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience with re‑platforming, migration and data‑driven backend projects.
- Ability to create data dictionaries, validate data and drive process improvement.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
