R&D Engineer, IP Quality

About the role

As an R&D Engineer in IP Quality at Synopsys, you will work on Embedded Memory IP, ensuring its reliability through rigorous testing, data analysis, and automation. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed quality practices early in the development cycle and help deliver defect‑free silicon components.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate kickoff and release meetings with cross‑functional teams to align on compliance and processes.
• Execute regression test suites on Embedded Memory IP releases and monitor results across validation cycles.
• Analyze test data to identify trends, flag anomalies, and determine root causes of quality gaps.
• Develop and maintain Python and Tcl scripts that automate testing, reporting, and compliance workflows.
• Document test outcomes, process gaps, and improvement recommendations in clear, actionable formats.
• Support refinement of the Quality Management System based on real‑world validation feedback.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in validation, testing, quality assurance, or a similar engineering role.

Skills

• Proficiency in Python or Tcl for scripting and automation.
• Strong data‑analysis abilities to interpret test results and spot patterns.
• Experience with regression testing and test‑automation frameworks.
• Good problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication for documenting findings and coordinating with teams.
