Software Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Evotix is looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer to join its Engineering team in Bangalore. The position is aimed at fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to work on quality assurance for a cloud‑based Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) SaaS platform. You will contribute to building reliable automated test suites that help deliver safe and efficient workplace solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications.
• Collaborate with developers to understand feature requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration tests, reporting defects with clear steps to reproduce.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving testability of the product.
• Assist in setting up continuous integration pipelines to run automated tests on each build.
• Document test cases, results, and maintain test data repositories.

Eligibility

• Must have legal right to work in India; Evotix does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Open to candidates from any graduate background, with a focus on engineering or computer science degrees.
• Freshers or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Skills

• Fundamental understanding of software testing concepts and quality assurance processes.
• Basic knowledge of test automation principles and at least one scripting language.
• Familiarity with software development life‑cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
