Software Test Engineer

About the role

Tekksol Global is looking for fresh graduates to join its QA team in Chennai as Software Test Engineers. The role involves creating and executing test plans, tracking defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high‑quality software releases.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to gather testing requirements and align priorities.
• Design, develop and run comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Identify, document and track defects, coordinating with developers for timely resolution.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute feedback to improve processes.
• Analyse test outcomes, spot trends and suggest practical improvements.
• Stay current with emerging testing tools, practices and technologies.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of relevant experience.

Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of software testing concepts.
• Ability to design test cases and execute test plans.
• Defect tracking and clear communication with developers.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
