Infra Engineer

About the role

The Infra Engineer will build and maintain secure, scalable Java‑based services for Standard Chartered’s API platform. Working in Bangalore, you will create micro‑service components, integrate messaging systems, and support cloud‑native deployments while following Agile and DevOps best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy Java and Spring Boot micro‑services for the bank’s digital offerings.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate middleware such as Kafka and Solace.
• Support containerised deployments on Kubernetes or Amazon EKS.
• Use Git for source control and set up CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable releases.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts and technology teams to translate requirements into secure solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, risk identification and continuous improvement activities.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc).
• Strong English communication skills.
• Open to fresh graduates as well as candidates with relevant experience.

Skills

• Core Java and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
• Microservice architecture and RESTful API development.
• Messaging and integration using Kafka and Solace.
• Cloud platforms and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS).
• Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile practices including Scrum, TDD and BDD.
