Software Development Engineer

About the role

Siemens EDA is seeking enthusiastic Software Development Engineers to join its Noida R&D centre. The role focuses on building and optimizing compiler technologies, algorithms and data structures for electronic design automation tools. Candidates will work on UNIX/Linux platforms using C/C++ and collaborate with global teams to deliver high‑performance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise compiler solutions and tools using C/C++ on UNIX/Linux.
• Create efficient algorithms and data structures tailored for EDA applications.
• Apply compiler optimisation techniques to improve software performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams to translate customer requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve development practices.
• Test, debug and refine software components to meet quality standards.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong grasp of C/C++ programming, design patterns, data structures and algorithms.
• Hands‑on experience with UNIX/Linux development.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multi‑functional, global teams.

Skills

• Proficient in C and C++ (object‑oriented concepts, memory management, templates).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and design patterns.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux development tools and environments.
• Knowledge of compiler concepts and optimisation techniques.
• Good analytical and debugging abilities.
