About the role

Societe Generale is looking for a Java‑focused Software Engineer to join its Bangalore technology team. The candidate will work on end‑to‑end development of banking applications, delivering high‑quality, scalable code while collaborating with business analysts and agile teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse functional requirements, raise clarifications and produce technical designs.
  • Develop reusable Java components using Core Java, Spring and Apache Spark.
  • Integrate front‑end features with Angular, React or plain JavaScript.
  • Optimise applications for speed, scalability and cloud‑native performance.
  • Write unit, integration and automated tests following TDD practices.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, estimate effort and review design, test cases and code.
