About the role

Skyhigh Security is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to keep its cloud‑native security platform running smoothly. Based in Bangalore, you will join a hybrid‑work environment and work across global production services, ensuring high availability, rapid incident response, and continuous automation.

Responsibilities

  • Own incident, problem and change management to sustain uptime of security infrastructure and global points of presence.
  • Lead major‑incident troubleshooting, coordinate cross‑team fixes, and produce detailed post‑incident reviews.
  • Reduce alert fatigue by analysing metrics, tuning alerts and building self‑healing automation.
  • Develop internal tooling and AI‑assisted workflows in Python or Go to automate repetitive operational tasks.
  • Create, test and maintain runbooks, SOPs and standard operating procedures for on‑call engineers.
  • Plan and execute maintenance windows, production changes and vulnerability patching across regulated environments.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4‑6 years of hands‑on experience in SRE, DevOps or Linux systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS core services and container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and web/proxy servers such as Nginx, Apache or Tomcat.

Skills

  • Monitoring and observability tools – Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/ELK, CloudWatch, PagerDuty.
  • CI/CD pipelines – GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, ArgoCD or GitHub Actions.
  • Configuration management – Ansible or Salt.
  • Infrastructure as code – Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Networking fundamentals – TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, proxies and load balancing.
  • Scripting and automation – Python or Go.
