Frontend Engineer, Chanakya

About the role

As a Frontend Engineer on the Chanakya team, you will craft high‑performance user interfaces that sit atop Sarvam’s sovereign AI stack. The work focuses on demanding, low‑bandwidth and offline‑first environments, delivering geospatial overlays, simulation dashboards, and complex enterprise workflows for strategic Indian sectors.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement production‑grade React interfaces for AI‑driven use cases such as geospatial overlays, simulation UIs, and data ingestion dashboards.
• Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of reusable frontend “atoms”, from component architecture through deployment in client‑embedded devices.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and deployment teams to ship complete, scoped solutions.
• Optimize applications for constrained environments, ensuring offline‑first behavior, low‑bandwidth resilience, and minimal hardware footprints.
• Contribute to shared frontend infrastructure, including component libraries, design systems, and state‑management patterns.
• Participate in field testing and incorporate feedback from strategic deployment engineers across enterprise accounts.

Eligibility

• 3–6 years of hands‑on frontend engineering experience with shipped products.
• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind.
• Experience building components for low‑resource, offline‑first environments.
