Apprentice (Data Management)

About the role

The apprenticeship supports S&P Global's Equity Capital Structure dataset within the Market Data division. You will help extract, ingest and verify financial and non‑financial information from regulatory filings and stock‑exchange feeds, ensuring high‑quality data for clients while gaining hands‑on experience in financial data operations.

Responsibilities

• Extract and ingest equity capital structure data according to defined guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy standards and meet SMART goals.
• Propose and implement process improvements and automation ideas.
• Collaborate with team members and follow best practices.
• Conduct detailed research before seeking support.
• Participate in team initiatives, data‑audit clean‑ups, and process simplification.

Eligibility

• Commerce graduate or post‑graduate with strong accounting/financial knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to multitask, work in a team and meet flexible deadlines.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and investigative attitude.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts across time zones.
• Knowledge of SQL and Power BI is a plus.
