Software Development Engineer – I

About the role

Rupeek is looking for a Software Development Engineer – I to build robust backend services, scalable consumer applications, and high-performance financial API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy clean, maintainable, and high-performing software components.
• Build resilient microservices and RESTful API endpoints for fintech products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Quality Assurance to deliver end-to-end user features.
• Participate in code reviews, write comprehensive unit tests, and maintain software documentation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot application bugs, optimize query performance, and ensure software stability.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology (B.E / B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or equivalent branch.
• Minimum 1+ years of hands-on software development experience.

Skills

• Strong foundation in Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs), and system design fundamentals.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, Golang, or Node.js.
• Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL data stores (MongoDB, Redis).
