About the role

Qualcomm is seeking enthusiastic engineering interns for its software division. The role involves designing and developing software for mobile chipsets, covering multimedia, wireless modem, platform‑level, and IoT technologies across locations in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and Noida.

Responsibilities

Develop real‑time embedded software and device drivers.
Build mobile software for Android, Windows Mobile, or Linux platforms.
Work on multimedia stacks, audio/video codecs, and image processing.
Implement wireless protocol stacks (4G, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, etc.).
Contribute to kernel, BSP, and driver development for embedded devices.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate progress effectively.

Eligibility

Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering, Communication Engineering, or ECE.
Strong grasp of OS concepts, data structures, and object‑oriented design.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Skills

Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
Experience with Linux/UNIX, Android, and Windows environments.
Understanding of wireless standards (CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE) and networking protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, SIP, RTP).
Familiarity with multimedia technologies such as audio, video, and imaging codecs.
Ability to design and develop embedded software and device drivers.
