Data Migration Intern

About the role

The Data Migration Intern will join Q2's data migration team in Bangalore, working on moving client online‑banking data from legacy platforms to Q2’s modern banking solution. The role blends database management, SQL/T‑SQL scripting, Python and .NET development with troubleshooting and documentation, offering a hands‑on fintech experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in converting client data from legacy online‑banking systems to the Q2 platform.
• Build and schedule automated data‑processing scripts.
• Develop custom Python and .NET utilities for migration tasks.
• Troubleshoot complex migration, integration and environment issues.
• Document production changes, issues and resolutions.
• Prioritise multiple assignments and escalate unresolved problems.
• Collaborate with implementation, QA, data‑center operations and development teams.
• Follow change‑control and security policies for production work.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in B.E, B.Tech or B.Sc (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• 0–2 years of experience or recent graduate status.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines, including occasional weekend or late‑night support.

Skills

• SQL and advanced T‑SQL scripting.
• Python programming for automation.
• .NET development basics.
• Understanding of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server).
• Data migration concepts and data‑validation techniques.
