Sr. Software Engineer (UI Developer)

About the role

GE HealthCare is looking for a senior UI developer to lead the creation of reusable web components for the Ethos Design System. The role focuses on building high‑quality, accessible, and performance‑driven UI blocks that work across React, Angular and Vue applications, supporting the company’s growing portfolio of clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Lit‑based web components that serve as the foundational UI elements for multiple product teams.
• Ensure all components meet strict accessibility, performance, and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to define reusable patterns and guidelines within the Ethos Design System.
• Drive scalability by creating self‑service tooling that enables teams to adopt components without breaking consistency.
• Mentor junior developers and champion best practices for modern web development.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (B.E/B.Tech preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience building complex UI systems, preferably with web components.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and performance optimization.
